This is the most recent picture of myself I've been able to discover so far, in the mounds and mounds of photographs in my home. This is from a year ago, approximately, before I had to get glasses.

This is my third-cousin, Fred McCurdy. He's the official Santa Claus for the state of South Carolina. He loves hearing from other people, kids, especially, so drop "Santa" a note.

This is a very special picture to me. And a very old one at that. Actually, all I have is a copy, but the photograph is of my great-great-grandmother on my mother's side of the family, (Harriet Burton) and her mother-in-law, (Martha Morgan). I like seeing the family resemblance. I suppose it's strange, but I feel like I'm touching the face of the past, when I handle and look at old photographs like this.
